G'day Richard.
Do you have a 10 or 15mm belt?
I've only found one company in Australia that has the 10mm belts and have destroyed a few of them now.
Cheers

rd fella, you shouldnt really be using a small wire in a yellow crimp , it will vibrate loose again.
if it was me, i would add some solder.

Those pre-insulated crimps, squeezed on with the tool that comes with the assorted kit, come loose even on the right sized wire.

Then any of the terminals is possibly the elusive cause of a problem you have.

Used thousands of lucar terminals over the decades and I agree a small(ish) wire into a yellow crimp is not ideal, but I don’t keep large lucar in blue – are they even available?. In retrospect I should have used a 50A wire instead of a 20, but didn’t see the point given the dynamo output is 11A max. Mind, I always double a wire over when it’s a bit small for a particular crimp. I invariably solder connections for marine applications, but never for automotive. Rarely have problems, this was just me being too hasty when working in an awkward place below the battery tray.
