You put it in until it comes out of the overflow hole that is plugged at the rear of the gearbox. Sorry for not answering your exact question. Have I missed the point?

Steve,
              14 fluid ounces or 400cc.
Primary case is 8 fl oz or 225cc.
Front fork is 7.5 fl oz  0r 213cc.
