Silencer brackets ???
« on: 17.10. 2025 20:23 »
Can anyone tell me the correct fitting of the exhaust silencer fixing brackets to the frame. Does the bracket fit on the inside or outside of the footrest hanger. Does the bracket offset go towards the wheel or away from the wheel. I am trying to get the exhaust sitting in the correct alignment.

Mine go on the inside of the of the footrest hanger and the offset goes outwards.

Mind you I had to make up my own brackets I suspect I was sold the wrong silencers.
(Anyone need some brackets?)

Depends on who made the silencers/brackets. What was "right" before may now lead to the K/S hitting the silencer, or the silencers being too splayed out. Suck it and see..

The brackets on the A10 angle inward toward the wheel.

Don't do what I did and turn them round to try to align properly.  A quick swing on the kickstart dented the silencer so badly I had to replace it - £65 up the swanny straight away.

Yes, it sounds crazy, but I was new to Brit bikes and had no idea.  I'm getting MUCH wiser now.
