TlS front brake plate weld

Hi All,
Some while ago I was looking at an A10 that had the tls fitted without building up the brake plate,
The lug on the fork barely engaged with the brake plate,

Sounds bad.  Shallow engagement, with only the tips touching will put the lugs under bending stress, rather than the shear that they’re meant for.

Build up the plate. I had the peg built up many years ago. This year it sheared off, did the welding weaken it I dont know, but it did last a long time. So I had the plate built up and painted it.
