Rigid Brake Pedal

Auto Jumble season is fast approaching here in the UK, I need a Rigid brake pedal - 67-6007 - could anyone tell me what the casting number is please?

The part # for the pedal is 67-7002, the casting # would be one number less 67-7001.
The part # you quoted is for spokes.

Brake pedal cast number is 67-7002.
Brake pedal shaft is 67-7005.
Pedal return spring is 67-7006.

The cast # is usually one less than the part #.

The early parts books are available in the Literature section of the Forum. These take some getting used to as the format is very different, but as shown above each part is illustrated in reasonable detail. The catalogue for the year includes all models, so also useful to see which parts were common across the range. 5/- well spent back in the day.

Cheers guys, as they say a picture is worth a thousand words, plus I have a complete (I guess)47 LS that needs me to get it back!!

That picture much appreciated - now I know what to look out for.
From that we see that the actual part number is cast into it and not a different casting number!
The online pdf of the 47 and 48 parts manual is very useful - I just wish I could print it off!

Looking at that picture a BSA C15 pedal doesn't look too far off if an original was hard to find

Mmm - the C15/B40 item is a bit smaller that the Plunger type 67-7026 which I presume would be the same length as 67.7002

The casting number and part number are often the same, differences of a single or few more intergers occur where the casting is part of a sub assembly, for example a piston supplied with rings and pin, or a cylinder head only supplied ex factory complete with valves.
 Plunger brake pedal has a spline to locate on the pivot lever, the bearing surface for this is a frame lug and when the lug wears it is not a simple bolt on replacement. That's progress.
