Hi All,
The initial stand on ebay was a Uk made part, as it had A10 on the base if the foot, maybe the selker realised that it was a lot more valuable than the cheapo sh1t?

This has reminded me of when on a Ferry from Ireland the deckhands strapoed the bikes down when on the sudestand *eek*
I refused and strapped mine down myself on the centrestand, good job I did as the sidestand had been welded by a po and failed  some days later in the middle of rhe Scottish wilds , hell of a job to pick up the fully laden Guzzi  on my own

One of many in our riding group visiting your place this Sunday for the Moto Retro run is known for kicking up his (difficult to start) A10 on the leaning side stand.
I wonder if this will be the time that that poor frame lug finally cries enough..?

Bizarrely, it was, or nearly.
On the Saturday ride to Arromanche the stand bracket assembly finally pulled out of the frame lug...two damaged/stripped threads jury-rigged with M8 set screws.
I think I'll do the Lottery this weekend...

Hi All,
When I put my SR together 25+ years ago  I didnt trust the threads on the frame half lug,
I made some longer HT bolts and put small hex nuts behind the half lug, once I set the stand angle i shaped a piece of steel to fit between the stand and lug so the lot could be bolted solid!
It hasn't moved in all that time *smile*

Carolyne from Burton Bike Bits just called me. The A10/A7 side stands are back in stock - in case anyone wanted one, though there's only 6, and that's it!
