RIM ENQUIRY 51 GF
« on: 15.03. 2007 11:33 »
Hello all, well the restore is going according to plan. I have heard two lines of thought regarding the finish of the rims on a 1951 A10 Golden Flash (Plunger). Some people I speak to say black paint, others say chrome.  Is anyone out there who can give me a definitive answer on this? Regards Ian

Hi again Ian,

Pleased to learn that the restoration is going ok.

I tend to go by the Roy Bacon book "BSA Twin Restoration".  Here it says that your wheel rims should be chrome plated with the rim centres painted the same colour as the rest of the bike.  The painted rim centres are then lined in gold.
