A10 1951 plunger front wheel
« on: 23.03. 2007 06:44 »
Hi, does anyone know for sure what front wheel is for a 1951 A10 plunger. What I mean is when you look at the back of the brake hub there are six large bubbles when you are looking at the hub from primary side. In the 1949-53 parts lists it shows smooth but in Roy Bacon book for all the pictures of 1950 and 51 A10s it show the bubbles. I know there were later models with knock outs and bubbles they are in Bacon restoration book too. thanks Terry

The correct wheel has the knock-outs and no fins. It seems it was changed to plain type in 1953.

Hi, thanks for the response. Has anyone got a spare hub with the six bubbles I have a number of smooth ones. Are the bubbles knockouts or part of the hub. I know that later ones had six bubbles plus smaller knock outs. thanks Terry K (Australia)
