a couple of clutch questions

Old clutch rollers will do the same thing only better & some of my bikes had 4 or more in there.

Naturally this works the other way around as well. I managed to loose a clutch roller and replaced it by simply cutting a matching length off an old clutch push rod....

BTW, 305mm is equal to one of those old fashioned foot things, you know, a dozen of those inches we used before we went all French.

Well no it dosn't, well not for long in any case. Being that the clutch bearing only works while the clutch is dissengaged you might get away with it for a while but you will find that the "replacement " will have worn quite substantially as it is not hardened and is a different grade of steel.

The 4 spring clutch rod is 12 inches long & the 6 spring ( plunger ) is 11.5
