Motor top end parts Identification
« on: 22.06. 2018 07:16 »
Hello all; I am hoping the forum can help with identifying some cylinders and barrels I have here.
Maybe I have the right combinations to start building up a motor.
Barrels
#67-1074 1954-58 S/A A10 square fin thin flange ?? Is this correct
#67-578 A7 ??? Nothing on the internet.

Cylinders
#67-251 A10 1951-52 ?? Plunger ?? Would this be correct
#67-261 or should it be #67-251 Hard to make out the number in the casting
67-1032 ???
67-1056 or should it be 67-1066 ??? Hard to make out the number in the casting.
Large fin head on small fin barrel doesn't look right, same as the other way around.
Is square fin also referred to as large fin.
Sorry for the dumb questions.
Many thanks Keith *eek* *sad2*

 Just had a squiz at the lists I have and came up with this;

 '49-'53;
A7 & Star Twin, 67-378/
                        67-50 (up to '51)
 A10                  67-253

'Plunger & S/A; '54-'57

A7/ST/SS         67-1070
 A10                 67-1074

 A7 SS              67-1070
 Road Rocket     67-1210

 '58 & 'Late 'A series' '   Same as Above ^^

 Keep in mind that 'Casting numbers' are one different from Part numbers

Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy
