Hi All,
Selecting tires for my bike, Want to go with Dunlop K81( K70/TT100) style, I will have an 18" WM3 rim on the back. Does anyone know from experience does a 4.25/85H-18 fit in the swingarm without rubbing ? Other choice appears to be 4.00-18.
Thanks

Hi,

I run  a Dunlop Gold Seal K70 4.00x18
Its fitted to an AKRONT 18"-2.15-40-S-1094 E. (is that a WM3?)
QD hub.

With  the 4.00 there is plenty of clearance on the chain side, on the other side, my forefinger is a really tight fit between swing arm and tyre (fortunately I never drive like this *smile*)
Its a meaty looking tyre anyway and handles well.

Cheers,
Iain

Tombeau,
after all this time and all the pictures, yours is still my favourite beezer.
Its got attitude ... and VW tailpipes. I love it.
What tyre do you have on the front?
cheers

I had a 120/80 on a WM3 (yes yours is a WM3) on the cafe. It cleared the chain by about 1/8". A 120 = 4.75" I have replaced it with a 110/90 = 4.33" wit miles of room.
Cheers

I have a 4.25/85H-18 Continental on the back of my 1962 A10 Gold Star Spitfire Scrambler and it fits fine. But it's old now and needs to be replaced. I'm thinking of going to an old style Avon 4.00-18 SM.
