Positive or Negative electrics?

Hi, for my Bitsa; basically a '57 Plunger Flash with A7 small finned iron top end which electrical system should I wire up - positive or negative? I don't have any wiring at present so before starting thought I'd try to get it right first time! I'm keeping it at 6v for the time being with a view to converting to DVR2 regulator (best option according to previous posts?) when finances improve! My dynamo and mag (man. adv/retard) have been reconned as standard. Intend using the original volt reg but have a brand new copy one incase.
Any advantage/disadvantage with either -ve or +ve system? Apologies if it's obvious *eek*

Not a cracker of differnce. nothing will work better & nothing will perform worse.
The change to + earth was done due to a big missunderstanding about electronic cathodic protection.
It works on ships because they are in salt water.
It dosn't wok on motor cycles because you can not get a complete circuit.

If you decide to change over, reverse the wires on the amp meter.
Also mark the battery box with a note "Negative Earth".

The only issue is when you have several vehicles with different layouts and you have to constantly remind yourself which is which.

I was in the same position with a choice of neg or pos and someone told me that if I chose postive earth I would not get any battery terminal corrosion, so positive it was and guess what, I get positive terminal corrosion.
