BSA , Triumph & Lucas special tools.
« on: 21.10. 2010 16:04 »
Hi Chaps , Here are some special tools made by my brother , Paul ,when he was serving his apprenticeship at the Atomic Energy Board.
One is for removing A10 / A7 Fork stantions from the taper in the top yoke.
One for pulling stantions into their taper.
One for BSA single mag gear removal ( I had a 350 Goldie at the time)
One for removing & replacing Triumph cam gears
One I made for pulling magneto inner bearings off. Length is for pulling mag-dyna races off , long bolt for K2F.

Cheers , Flatboy.

Quite well made, Flatboy. Most of my home made tools are done in the heat of battle. Just yesterday I made a tool to remove the sprocket nut on a Hardley Drivable. 1 7/8" socket with the drive end cut off and welded to a piece of 1 1/2" pipe. $54 for the socket, the proper tool costs $125.
I still have the valve spring compressor that I made as an apprentice 33 years ago.
Cheers

G'day Flatboy,
please excuse the pun, no anti's here. Just a lot of head scratching, ratchet gearbox.
 I just sold my 193? Colchester lathe, I wish I hadn't.
Cheers
