Hi All,
Thats the difference between mere mortal A and B stuff and "Goldie RGS" stuff  *eek*
Search for the A65 hub and you may be lucky *ex* I got mine for £20 *smile* Ok that was 12 years ago but still!!!!
The same seller had the correct inner primary casing for a RGS, its different to the "normal" A and B ones
in that it extends more  rearwards towards the chain guard so as there isnt the unsightly gap betwen the 2, also no bolt hole!!
Guess who bought it ????  *smile*
Ok now I have to sell a kidney to pay for it *sad2*

Cheers

John,
It's interesting that you mention the inner chain case.
If you look at the road test from November 1962, the bike tested had a "short" inner.
Also a 1/2 width front brake and "cigar" muffler.
Trev.

Hi Trev,
Here is a pic of an RGS with the longer chainguard end on the inner primary case
The part number is 42-7503,
I think there is a similar looking one on Gold Stars with no bolt hole either, obviously different at the crankcase end!
Anyway I hope I havn't spent my money foolishly *sad2*
I am by no means an expert on the foibies of RGS's
I'm just trying to get the correct bits for the bike build,
Its had a tough life in the hands of previous owners and there are a host of non RGS bits fitted, that said All the vitals are there!!
Cheers

the goldstar single has the longer chainguard but the inner is different in that it has a cutout for the mag platform.
