Split timing cover

There is an A7 A10 split timing cover on E bay item No 300483004219. Has anyone got one of these, and if so are they any use.

I've seen the split dynamo end of the cover but not the timing end. Might be helpful to someone who cant do the job properly in the first place. I'd think that the joint would be prone to leakage when engine is under breathing pressure.

G'day Goldy,
                     I saw that as well. I can see it's usefulness. With years of practice you should get it right the first time, but if you don't it means taking the cover off again. Using that you will still get a bit of oil flying around but it will keep most of it in till it's set right.
