Alloy head fin replacement
« on: 31.10. 2010 14:29 »
Hi Guys,

I have a very sad looking alloy head from a 650 A10, there are several fins that are missing, i have no spare head to pinch the fins from so i am going to have to make them from scratch. Can i use any alloy sheet of the correct gauge? or do i have to use something of the correct spec?

over to you

any time i have had to reweld a fin i have been lucky enough to have the broken piece to reattach , it might work using alloy sheet but the colours mightn't match .

Have a fish around some riceburner wrecker from some old butchered barrels or heads as a donor.

That's what I did for my Venom. Found a nice matching barrel for a quid.
