Which Wheel am I looking for ?
« on: 10.11. 2010 13:36 »
Ok trying to located a rear wheel for my 55. Told it is a QD Crinkle hub, I am finding these hubs in A10 and A65. I have noticed different drum covers ( aluminum and tin ) assuming tin is the one I want., also seeing brake drums with 4 bolts and 6 bolts.

Which one is correct ? or will they all work ?

Thanks

Hi HP,
The QD wheel you need was fitted to the A7, A10, B31, B33 (1954-55) but as far as I know the A65 ones are different..

If you don't already have a copy I'd suggest you download the (free) copy of Draganfly's catalogue :-

http://www.draganfly.co.uk/catal.html

You need List B3 - it's about 30Mb... It contains laods of stuff, diagrams, part numbers etc.. You'll have to trawl all through the models you're not interested in but your '55 S/A is there.. Should give you a drawing of what you're looking for. It's also useful to work out how the other models differ from the drawings...

No,
The same wheel was used on Goldies and Rocket Goldies. Also the Lightning Rocket and some other A65s.
The later hubs had more substantial rivets but are the same thing.
