Forks
« on: 30.01. 2011 17:51 »
Hi peoples, Im starting a new build which is a BSA B40/ C15 scrambler, It was originally a standard road bike, which I will be converting into a scrambler, not really to race more to take to shows and run around the field, I may one day join up and have a go at actual scrambling but that wont be for a while

Anyway, enough of my blabbering  *smile* The forks are in a sorry state, infact pretty much non existent as there that bad, I want to retain the original look of it as much as i can as I dont want it too look like a lash up but havent got alot of cash to throw at it.

So I am after a set of forks, that either fit in the yokes or in the head set that are a little more robust or even a way of making my forks more heavy duty??

I would like to retain the original hub again to keep the cost down??

Can any body help me out here???

Thanks alot

Luke

Pull them apart, clean them, put heavier  oil in them, and maybe a fork brace and ride like you stole it!

They will be strong enough. If one day you decide to jump 25 buses in wembly stadium, you might need to change them, but they will be ok for field work.

The C15 roadster forks have very little that is interchangeable with the heavy duty forks that came on B40s and the big bikes.  You would need to either exhange the front end as a complete unit or do some major engineering.
