Josh & Terry,
Good luck fellas.
Though it looks like Innisfail is going to cop the brunt again.
We have a lot of family living there.
Heres hoping.

The BBC in London say winds up to 200 mph due in Australia, all the best to the lads down under.

Heard from Josh; he and the family got through OK but are "a bit windy"!

Well that's an experience very wild winds up to 200km an hour but we are safe thankfully. Two hours up north had 300 km winds. Our neighbours have trees upside down and roofs blown off and other damage  around town but up north whole houses are destroyed very sad.
We have no power and water is not safe to drink without boiling but no damage to our house or my shed so we feel very fortunate, Thanks for all the well wishes.

Glad all are safe, at least apparently so. Makes our Chicago Snowmageddan seem very minor, yet people were so freaked out.

That's really good news Terry,

Glad to hear you and yours got through okay.  Now we have to hope you're not in one of the flood prone areas for the next phase of all this damned weather!
It's bucketing down here and 30 degrees at the moment so I feel like I'm in Queensland now anyway!!!

Cheers,

hi,   i do my own conversion, as fortanate to have a miller and lathe, the differance is amazing, i use the steel outer seal, and a drop of loctite 601, i sprint a norton navigator with a a10 plunger engine in it, good fun. blew it up once due to the rubber backed seal blowing out and hence no oil to big ends, the steel backed one goes for ever.  smoother, quicker of the mark, real differance
may you do what you can today as tommorrow you may not be able to
