clutch 4 spring

Can anyone tell me how many plates go in a 4 spring clutch?
I have a gold flash 650 1961

Hi Elmondo,

Welcome to our friendly little forum and I hope that you can make use of most of the threads as they develop.

In answer to your question my parts list shows 5 corked plates (Part no. 42-3262) and 6 plain plates (Part no. 42-3195) in the 4 spring clutch fitted to the A7 and A10's.

Hey, speaking of corks, does anyone know where to buy replacement inserts for swingarm chainwheels. I have a feeling they are the same as plunger, but I am not sure. Regardless, I haven't seen either for sale without the chainwheel.

Richard... I did notice some somwhere quite recently, it may have been by Britie, Polly Palmer.

Thanks, very much. I will ask if they have more than just those on ebay. I'd like to have a backup set. I made my own during my rebuild and, in my opinion, my 6-spring clutch works fine or, even, excellently. However, it was a pain that I would be happy to buy my way out of for the next time around.
