Rocker Feed Bolt
« on: 03.05. 2011 21:00 »
I am unable to remove one of my Rocker feed bolts on a 1949 plunger,I believe the thread is 5/16" Cycle. The bolt has leaked for a while but will not turn in or out so I may have to resort to drilling it out, anyone know what would be the best size to drill it out so that I can readily buy a new feed bolt without too much hassle  and will the rocker shaft tap.

You say it's not coming out.  Why?  Is the rocker shaft turning?  Are the flats rounded off?  Drilling is a last resort since there's a high risk of damaging the rocker shaft.  Have you tried an impact socket?

Most of us (maybe, all of us) have similar brain-fart stories. I know I have more than one. No worries. Good news and time to move ahead.

" a good horse farts when pulling heavy"

Hang on bsarider I'll pass you my pointy hat when I'm done with it, (could be a while though)
