Tank Badge Treads
« on: 28.06. 2011 22:44 »
My 51 A7 petrol tank has had the bolt holes for the badges and knee pads, filled with what looks like body filler. I want to try and drill this out and run a tread tap down the holes. Does anyone know what tread these would be ? Thanks, regards Howard

65-8201  slotted countersunk screw 4BA x 1/2" fitted to the plastic badges & to winged BSA
65-8317  slotted countersunk screw 5BA x 1/4" fitted to earlier tanks with the long flash and oval enamel badge that went under the knee rips

Howard,
Knee pads screws should be 1/4"x 26 TPI.
