wheel bearings
« on: 30.06. 2011 15:04 »
I'm into the wheel bearings now and am looking to replace them with the sealed bearings that I read somewhere you guys have all converted over to. From what I can see according to the parts book, the front and rear wheel bearings are all the same at 89 - 3022. my bike is a 1956 swinging arm A10 which I think uses the "Ariel hub" - is that right? if so, is this the right part no. for the bearings? if not can you please advise, also on what the replacement bearings are and whether I need to maake any changes to the hubs/spindles etc to accomodate them?
Much obliged, as always, thanks

Hi Jules,
If you're correct there's a set going on UK EBay (1 set left). May be of interest?

G'day Jules,
that's the right # for '56-'57 "Ariel" hubs. Your local bearing supplier will have them for under $10 each, you will need the sizes or take an old one in with you.
