Valve Spring interchange
« on: 12.09. 2011 12:59 »
Hi everyone, I am back with a new question.  I have a almost new cast iron  A10 head but only a set of A10 later alloy head valve springs.  Will the larger, longer springs work in a cast iron head with a 356 cam?  I have what I think are a set of cast iron head springs but none of the bit and pieces to fit them.  All advice is appreciated.

Someone will give you a specific answer no doubt. One thing that springs to mind [NPI] is make sure they aren't coil bound.

Hi Ron,
To the best of my knowledge the answer is NO *sad2*
The SR valve springs/ valves, collars and collets are all different from the iron head hardware
