Sporty fairings - Butler Gold Star?
« on: 15.08. 2011 11:47 »
Many years ago I used to run a home-made Rocket Gold Star lookalike which I fitted with a sporty fairing, a Butler Gold Star (see the pic, which does miss out the small cowl that fitted round the headlamp).  This really made the bike very pleasant to ride far and fast.  It was quite close to a racing fairing in appearance and was quite well made.  I'd be interested to know people's views on what are the good cafe racer fairings at the present time.  If anybody in the UK were to know of a decent Butler Gold Star fairing for sale I would be pleased to hear from them.

I believe you can still get Avon sports type fairings eg from here: http://www.triumphparts.co.uk/www.triumphparts.gbr.cc/info.php?p=4&cat=188623 but I have no experience of them.
