Wiseco Pistons
« on: 23.10. 2011 20:25 »
Hi All,
I know some Forum members have fitted Wiseco pistons to their A10's

Does anyone know the Wiseco reference number?

John,  I got mine from Cake Street Classics and I believe that he had a batch specially made. There are a few different numbers on the box but the main one is 7949MO7200. These are +80 thou, I think that the last 4 digits show this. Other numbers on the box are 2835XC, CW19, S746 and 022208/3/3/1438. The CW19 is the number on the circlip packet I just noticed. Hope this helps.

So, I'm guessing, if one goes +80, one probabaly will want to ease up on the compression ratio, maybe like 7.5:1. Does that make sense? If +80 is usable, that would be my next stop when the time ultimately comes. Right now, I'm at 9:1.

When I ordered mine I was of the understanding that they only come in the one ratio of about 8.75:1. I have just done 300k on the BSA national rally in South Aus and they performed brilliantly, although my knee wasn't real flash by the end.

Hi Richard
My quick calculation shows an increase of 18.74cc per cylinder going from standard 70mm to +0.080, 72mm
You would need to know the volume of the compression chamber to exactly calculate the increase in compression
Its too early on a Monday morning to tax my brain any further  *conf* *conf*
Cheers
