Finally ...Lucas horn
« on: 15.11. 2011 19:12 »
Got a Lucas HF-1441 Horn, been looking and trying to get one for 3 years.
Come across acouple on Ebay, that I didnt win, but that has changed as I won this.

It wasnt cheap, but after contacting Taff from the horns, who said the waiting list is extensive.

I treated myself to this, with the brackets and in working order  *smile*

Does anybody know the size of the bolts to attach it to the bottom yoke?

Yeah Mate,
                       They should be 2BA.
How many leaves are there on the vertical bracket?

What is the story with that horn? Is it much louder than the stock Altette or just specific to one model A10 or A7?

The HF 1441 was fitted to the nacelle models from 1958 until maybe 1960-61 then the 8H was fitted.

Cripes I have one that looks just like that. Still on the bench ... I fitted something cheap and nasty that you can't hear over the Goldstar cans. perhaps I'd better have another look at it.
