rebuilt
« on: 09.05. 2008 20:08 »
Hi
Im rebuilting my A10 plunger alone and im wondering if i have to put oil in rear "springs" cause i didnt found any book to help me on that..
And if i have to put oil...how much?
Also my engine, clutch, gearbox and wheel sprockets are the standard ones...if i change the gearbox sprocket and put 20 or 21 teeth how much the top speed will increase or better at 60 mph will the rev be much low than with the 19 teeth?
Thanks

Hi, Emilios you,re never alone here!. No need for oil on rear plungers you should have two grease nipples on rear wheel spindle carriers, just pump these full of grease till it spews out. As for g/box sprocket I run a 20 tooth g/box sprocket on my plunger A10 I have not noticed any downfall on acceleration and bike cruises nicely at 65/75mph. Hope this is of help G/F DAVE.

Agree with GFDave above. 20 teeth is nice. Tried 21, this was too much. Was nice for low rpm in 4th, but in 1st needed lot's too much of clutch slip to get going properly. I think you will be happy with 20, good compromise between acceleration\cruising rpm.

e.

Emilios,

Nosotros tallamos fotografias ... in all conditions of repair and rebuilding. Please share them, if you can, but it's not a requirement.

(I just wanted to try my Spanish. I hope I have guessed correctly as to your native language and, also, that I have not destroyed the language in trying to say "we crave photos.")
