I need a front mudguard and would like a non-valanced one in chrome. I noticed redbeeza's, he doesn't seem to be around at the moment so I wondered if anyone can suggest what is fitted to his bike.

Redbeeza's Super Rocket.

As it doesn't have forward stays it looks like the guard fitted to the A65 Rocket around 1964. Not sure where you are but Burton Bike Bits are pretty good for mudguards. The other option is pattern Gold Star stuff which you would need forward stays for, but look good.

Thanks, I though it might be.

I haven't got an early A65 parts books to see what brackets are used. After looking  up the part number for the bracket on the A10 (11440-6505), I see Burton Bike Bits list them as B40/A65 so it could well that the mudguard brackets are the same. If they are it would look to be an easy fit compared to using an RGS front.
