Speedo fixed
« on: 24.02. 2012 15:54 »
Hi Everyone. I posted a question some time ago about my speedo, after 50 mph it   would go straight up to 120 and then come back when i slowed down. Someone suggested i take the clock apart and clean. Well i took it off, removed bezel, which came off quite easily, gave the internals a good blast with WD40, refitted, hey presto working a treat. Question, on the top of my oil tank, (A7) is a short pipe, breather i suspect, should there be a hose from this going down to the bottom of the frame? No oil has ever escaped from here. Cheers Ian.

I fitted a hose from here to end up over the final drive sprocket but haven't seen any oil come out of it.

Hi Ian,

Glad your speedo problem worked out ok in the end.

That pipe on top of your oil tank didn't have a tube fitted to it when the bike left the factory.
