You are correct. Mine were not bought from C&D (darn it!). Neverthess, do check the OD on those from C&D before trying to install, just to be sure you have a proper (that is, not impossible) interference fit.

Just one reason why I thought  a plunger might be good/easy!!(ish)
Started building in about 1977/8 a on average '52 A10 -built from bits 'n pieces never resto intended -maybe 'personalised'
Have a '74 850T Moto Guzzi since '92-best thing I ever bought doesn't need a kickstart 'cos it bump starts sooooooooo(mostly) easy

Here is an update.

After pressing the siezed shaft out, I used a hacksaw (yikes!) to cut grooves in the remaining outer bushes. With patience I was able to make the bushes collapse in on themselves. Will be replaced with solid spindle silent blocs from C&D  *smile*

I replaced Mine years ago & there definately was .
