BSA Road Rocket Alloy Head and Manifold
« on: 18.05. 2012 11:52 »
Hi, This is more of an inquiry, I am trying to work out if the 1955 road rocket has the same detachable manifold as the 1955 Shooting Star.

It is my understanding that the 1954 and 1955 Shooting Stars have the alloy head with the bolt on inlet manifold, they then went to the integral casting.

I have a 2 friends that are both building 1955 Road Rockets, one says that the head has the integral manifold the other says the bolt on type.

Can anybody confirm which one was used and for what years.

     Regards Andy

Andy,
'54 & '55 have the bolt on manifold.
'56 was the first year of the integral manifold.
