2012 picture vote: the winner !
« on: 28.06. 2012 22:08 »
Congratulations. Some close contenders, but during the last weeks of the poll it won the race.
Among all the incredibly good entries, this is a very worthy winner.

Will come up with info about the prize in a little while, let's keep some suspense  *smile*

Am wondering year and other details, looking at the oil tank??

WOW!!! Thanks Guys (And Gals), Looking through the many many great pictures, it is an honour to have mine even selected as a finalist!
Some history on the bike...
I started this bike Approx Aug '10, and took the finished photos March '11. This is my 3rd complete restoration, and started with a bare (Bent, rusted) frame. I had the matching engine for it, alot of NOS parts, and as we all know, alot of refabrication to do!!
The bike it self is a 1953 BSA Super Flash (Originally purchased from L.A).
From most records, there was only 700 or so of these built, and only made for one year.
All items have been restored to Factory original condition (All nuts bolts etc cad plated), And this IS the original color that this bike left the factory in
As much as this may kill some people to hear it... This bike has not been fired up since it's restoration, as you may notice in my profile pic, the old man has another one (Identical) that he restored a few years prior that does get ridden usually once a month.
I o have a few pics of the restoration progress of this bike on my facebook, so if anyone wants to see how this bike was pieced together feel free to have a look.
Thanks again for selecting my bike (And picture)
Cheers, Brett
