base gasket

just woundering does anyone know what type of gasket papper the base gasket is or another alternative ????

Just about any automotive place will sell gasket paper, you can buy it in sheets or rolls depending on how much you need. It comes in varying thicknesses but I usually use .4mm which is about .016".

A couple of trade names for the material I use are Klingersil and Novus45

 I make all my own gaskets, 0.4 & 0.8mm are the two thicknesses I use. 0.8 on that one.
