Hi All,
Can someone please confirm the thread type for the screws which secure the tank badges?

I reckon they are 5BA but others here think they are 1/8 BSW.
Both .125" D.
Look at the thread tables and you will find 5BA around 43 TPI and 1/8 BSW is 40 TPI.
I use 1/8 in lieu of 5BA in generator end plates because they are available whereas the odd size BA screws are getting very thin on the ground.

Hi Richard,
Love to help, but same prob., and you're helping me -thanks!
Trev's a lot more clued in than I, but when I cleaned out my, uh-oh wrong tank..47-speedo in..but it was the kneepad rubbers, and seemed to be either 1/4 bsc or bsf, and was looking at the badge holes and figured they may be 3/16" or 1/8 something, but shall take note.
  Cheers, dutch
