GA7 Chain Case
« on: 27.08. 2012 10:34 »
I am restoring an A10 With an engine number ofGA7, I believe that it is  a Super Rocket.
The bike has a fully enclosed rear chain case, does anyone know if this is correct for 1961?
New Zealand models did vary a bit from UK ones.

I have a 1961 A7 with a GA7 engine number which has a full chaincase. Whether this is any help I do not know. Where in NZ are you?

Hi Peter: My Dad bought 2 1961 BSA's. A Super Rocket and a Golden Flash(that I have) that both had the enclosed chaincase.
Can't comment about other exported versions but someone with original sales literature will probably speak up.

PS: That's me on both of them. Gary

Peter,
I guess you meant frame number is GA7.
The enclosed chain case was an option from 1956 on the EA7 frames, as far as I know.
