No, but a recent experience with an Indian made valanced mudguard has made me very dubious about pattern tinwear
A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.

 Ditto RR. Most un-pleased with the mudguard I got. The chaincase looks a TAD better, but!

I got one ...very,very poor , dont fit around the swinging arm correctly & the sections dont bottom into each other .
I own a 1955/56 B.S.A Swinging Arm "Golden Flash" , had it since 1976 .
