Why does the A10 GF 1960 speedo have a white line marking 30 MPH???

Hi Pete,
Maybe its because the urban speed limit is 30 MPH in the UK ? just a guess really. I have seen it on other speedos on diffrent models

My W.C Haycraft book confirms that it is due to the speed limit in "built up" areas.
