Road Tax ?

Got my log book back from DVLA yesterday showing bike registered 1954, got comp insurance Tuesday and have doc's in front of me today.
Tried to tax the old girl on line, they won't let me ? Do I have to wait for the agencies to update their files or go down the Post Office.

I have the same problem Colin, probably will do mine in the post office while we still have one within striking distance

Is there a form for this before i get to the front of the queue. Or just the C of Ins' and the V5. Not got tax from PO for many years.

I was expecting all sorts of problems when I went with mine last year (2012), as it had been re registered in 1986 and off the road since 1992 (IIRC) but just went armed with V5c, insurance and MOT(ink still wet), the woman just entered it's details, confirmed there was no fee and gave me the disc.

This year I tried to do it on line but it wouldn't, said I had to go to a post office - why I don't know

On a different issue why have I got so much white space on my previous mail - will see if I can mod it, think I have keyboard problems though - keeps inserting line feeds

It may have the taxation class recorded as "Not Licensed". I've just been to the local DVLA office to do my NSU Quickly which I'd rebuilt from a wreck but managed to get the original reg number on the strength of a couple of old tax discs. The V5C has to be amended to "Historic" which is why I went to DVLA.

Absolutely horrendous queue of taxi drivers etc.....
