Hello to One and All. I'm sure someone out there will have an instant answer to this one..........
I am rebuilding a standard A7, and the bottom end is complete and assembled, and I have arrived at the cylinder head stage. Now, I have read these hallowed pages for most of today, and can find all sorts of wise words regarding copper head gaskets, and my own experience with my A10 tells me that the solid option seems to be the one to go for. However, my BSA parts list makes mention of two different part numbers, 67-0255 ( which seems to be specifically for A10 models), and 67-0382 ( listed as being for A7 and A7SS ). I frequently see solid copper gaskets offered for sale on Ebay as being suitable for both engines - is this the case? I have an old original composite gasket, which came from an old BSA gasket set, and the bore size is just over 66mm (which is what you would expect, I guess), and the A10 one I have is approx 71mm. I can't seem to find a solid copper gasket specifically for the A7. Would anybody out there know if there is such a thing, please?
