I just used an aerosol of wheel silver (can't remember the make). It gave an excellent coating and seems to cope with the heat (although depends on your riding style....)
The problem with hubs is they need the wheel dismantling to paint them.

I use engine enamel out of an aerosol can, baked on the BBQ for an hour then leave it for a week to cure. Nice and hard and no probs with heat.
Cheers

So your meat smells like paint and your bike smells like a lamb chop under heavy braking then Musky?
While I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, I have had no issue with powder coated drums. Mine came with powder coated drums from the P.O, apart from a couple of marks that have occurred while being transported they been fine for a few years now.

G'day Darren, long time no see. Hows the old girl going? The BBQ gets a bit of use, I've been bared from the oven.
Cheers.
ps Brakes only slow you down, and on a '51 A7 it takes a while to get back up to speed.
