The joy of Lucas
« on: 03.02. 2013 00:41 »
I'd been reading one of my older mags (July  69) and there is one of those classic ad's for Lucas, the products so crap they actually advertise them leaving you stranded and in need of roadside assistance!

However I noticed this one appears to be a very straight looking UK super rocket. However the tank badges look nothing like 3"
Thought it worth sharing
A good rider periodically checks all nuts and bolts with a spanner to see that they are tight - Instruction Manual for BSA B series, p46, para 2.

They may have disguised the badges and used an old model to avoid blatantly showing a BSA (Lucas' customer) broken down.

Funny they offer alternators and stators. No mention of magneto or dynamo.

Personaly I would not be happy with a dealer that stuck the front numbers on like that, there again maybe more editing was done
