Unknown it?
« on: 11.02. 2013 16:15 »
Hi all I know this sounds silly but I have found two rubber brackets that obviously need replacing but as I wasn't the person who stripped the bike I'm not sure what or where they go, can someone help please

you don't say what bike you have, my knowledge is only swinging arm , if it's off a S/a then it's rear mudguard to top cross tube, usually just one I think but could be some had two and one goes where Topdad says

They're not standard. Wouldn't worry about it.

Sorry, the bike is a super rocket built onto a 1956 frame. My thought was that they maybe mudguard related, as the rubbers are perished I thought I may try to order some new ones. Thanks everyone and muskrat my other hobby is fly fishing and fly tying hence the picture, and the babies bottle is infact a bottle of infacol that belongs to my 10 week old daughter.

Fido is right, they are the saddles and rubbers for the rear guard mount to the cross tubes.
The flat plates go inside the guard.
Topdad & Bill get an honourable mention also.
