muskrat, as I mentioned in my first post the bike is owned by my neighbor. Her intent is to learn to ride & get a motorcycle licsense to ride it. I will have her riding a small dirt bike before the BSA. I am not charging her for any labor put into bike just actual out of pocket expenses. She agreed if she does decide to sell it I would have first chance to buy it. She also told me I can ride it any time I want.
I'm not sure what you meant by bias. Would I see a considerable difference in plugs if this was happening, such as one cylinder running richer than the other. Do you recomend using an additive to the fuel, most fuel here will have 10% ethanol.
I still have quite a bit of work to do before it is road worthy. Mainly electrical and hand controls.

One thing that impresses me, considering you hadn't done it before, no report of a nightmare aligning the pushrods.
