I have painted my 1954 bike all black with lots of chrome. The only badge that suits every colour is red, a trade mark in my view.

The badges were originally red (centre) gold infill with chrome highlighted edges .
Just had Mine enamelled recently .
I own a 1955/56 B.S.A Swinging Arm "Golden Flash" , had it since 1976 .
