These people will match any colour and put it in an aerosol for you. They still do cellulose for vintage vehicles.

Why not use Plastikote or other readily available enamel aerosol spray?  Could also use Hard Hat which is a high performance paint?  Have used Plastikote on some aluminium barrels and it worked well, would have thought it OK.

Keith, I think it's for his tank and mudguard, although he didn't say.

Sorry guys, should have said. The blacks for touching up the front brake drum and a couple of marks on the forks. Got the red sorted for the tank and mudguards from RS Paints.

Make sure you get dark black and not light black!

"Touching up" with and aerosol.  That is an art I have yet to acquire.  Usually ends up with a "re-spray".
Even then I usually try to put on one more coat and it is a coat too far.  Ah well..............  KBO

It's one of those "may as well give it a go" moments. With plenty of wet sanding I think the bits will blend in.
Worst case scenario, they're only small bits so wouldn't be too bad for full respray.
More worried about the front mudguard and the repairs on that I have to re-do.

With our bikes being as old as they are, they may well have been re-painted a number of time.  i wonder how often the "original" colour has been used?  Not too mention paint fade by UV etc.

I wonder how that number was established?  Could it be 31?  I didn't realise there were so many shades of black?  Perhaps they kept changing the guys doing the painting?

It's been said they kept changing the guys who supplied the paint - due to them wanting paid
