Finally
« on: 28.04. 2013 08:01 »
After a week of kicking her over & only getting one backfire through the righthand side exhaust & checking the timing / points / leads & plugs... I spat the dummy today...

I went up to my local Repco & bought 2mtrs of new spark plug cable, 2 new NGK B6HS's came home & made up a new set of leads...

Gave the carb a tickle... 2nd kick & she  ROARS into life...  it LIVES... Woooo   Hooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..........

Idling way 2 fast but she picks up beautifully...      got a bit of carb fine tuning to do ....    so some more reading to do...

Oil flow back into tank is great...    cant get the smile off my face...

Thanks to this forum & all the members who helped me along the way...

Cheers    WozzA

Well done Wozza! very clean meticulous rebuild a credit to your hardwork , but bloody hell wozz  just for a moment when I first opened the post I saw " spat my dummy out " looked down without reading further , and saw a a bike on a trailer , I thought just for a moment you'd taken a blowtorch to her then my brain kicked in and i looked further down and reread the whole post , should have known better !! enjoy your bike  and may the smile now be permanent, cheers BobH

Thank you for your support guys...    *smile*
Without YOUR post on this wonderfull site, (& the SEARCH feature )
she would still be a pile of parts in the back of the shed..   *sad2*

There is still a long way to go before she is finished, ( if ever )
headlight-wireing looms- & small bits & pieces, & then the joy of continued maintenance,

& as Musky reminded me... " I better get some RUBBER for the rims BEFORE the first ride " wink2

Well done, you are not the only one to sort out loads of issues and questions with NGK, new leads and non suppressive caps. Enjoy the summer.
