Hi, just wondering if anyone has ever refurbished the above item, its just that i have all the bits and pieces to com plete it, or is it best left to some one that is familiar with it.

Michael,
They are pretty straight forward to build.
If you are sure the armature is up to it go for it.
Probably the most fiddly bit is shimming the bearings to eliminate play. Not so bad if you have a puller to get the inner race off.
Getting the outer race with the insulator & seal into the body can be trying.

Michael, if you have a look at the pages on our web site under the section headed 'condensectomy'

, that will take you through the steps in pulling a K2F apart and putting it back together again. You'll be able to do a few basic checks on the windings if you've got a multi-meter. However, without more specialist equipment, you won't be able to do some of the other tests for, for example, performance of the windings, condenser, slip ring, pick-up, and the magneto as a whole. If after scanning those web pages, you feel up to the job, give it a try, and good luck. If you then need help, we and other magneto people are here to assist.
