And nice people to deal with. I've got quite a few of their products over the years. Only ever one problem with the crank case stud kit and were quick to rectify.

G'day Paul.
1/4" BSW x 1" long allen head screws. Use a thread sealant and spring washers. Be careful with the case threads, they will strip out if you over tighten the screws.
Studs are the better option. 1/4" x 1-1/4" long with 1/2" of BSW thread and 3/8" of CEI (cycle 26 tpi) thread. There's not a lot of room to get a spanner on the nuts so I use the extended tappet cover nuts.
Cheers

Sorry to resurrect this old post.
I have ordered some 1/4 whit bolts which I can cut off and thread the plain shank part.
What size CEI die do I require ?

1/4 x 26tpi CEI (60 degree angle), but 1/4 x 26 tpi BSF (55 degree angle) will be virtually the same and nuts interchangable.

You will likely find some nuts sold as 1/4 CEI are actually 1/4 BSF and not notice any difference between them.

Thank you Julian, I will order a 1/4 CEI die now.

I buy rocker cover studs for the alloy sump . They are the correct thread and length.     *good3*

The extended nuts for the tappet covers are better than normal nuts, easier to get a spanner on.

i ve had lousy experiences using the small bsw/cei studs as the plain shank can be turned into the alloy housing and break it when tightening up the nut. your choice but i use bsw studding , nuts, spring washers and loctite.

Well done Roy, Let us know how you get on. A drop of Loctite nut lock on the studs will keep the studs in place and spring washers on the nuts.   *good3*
