Clutch cable for A7 SS 62

I am looking to replace the clutch cable on my A7 SS 1962 and am struggling to find in the UK somebody that list them.

Feked do list quite a few cables, but non listing the SS for my year. I contacted them, but they were not sure if they were the same as the standard A7.

Anybody any ideas as whether they are the same, or anywhere else to try.

Has anybody tried the cables with liners inside ?

My 1960-on parts book lists part number 42-8775 for the entire A Group clutch cable.  Therefore that tells me that there is no difference between the A7/A7SS/A10GF or A10SR clutch cables, provided that the clutch lever has not been changed from its original type of cable adjuster.

Contact Brian and Chris at Lightning Spares (0161 969 3850) for advice.  Brian has recently finished restoring a late A7SS for a customer so he should be able to answer your question with confidence.

Hi Peter

I have changed the bars several times on my SR so needed longer cables and I used J.J Cables Ltd Tel: 01926 651470 Hillfields Farm, Lighthorne, Warwick, Warwickshire CV35 0BQ (off J12 M40 near Gaydon).

The only drawback is that you have to send the old cable (which is returned) for a pattern but it does mean that the end fittings and length will be correct.
